Most body scrub/ loofah combos are oil-based and will leave a residue on the skin; instead, try to use a gel-based soap and an exfoliating mitt.
Waxing should be done at least 24-48 hours before your spray tan appointment. Shaving should be done at least 12 hours before your spray tan appointment. A razor that lacks a moisture strip is preferred.
Please complete any nail service a day or more before your spray tan appointment. If you have to complete the day of your tan, I advise you to forego any oils or lotions your nail tech may apply. If getting nail services days after your tan, your spray could become uneven.
Shower & exfoliate 24 hours before your spray tan. Any bar soaps (Dove especially) and cream washes will leave a residue on the skin that will create a barrier that the tanning solution can not penetrate through, causing streaks. Any gel-based body washes are best. If you shower the day of your tan, it should be completed at least 4 hours before to allow your ph levels to be new. If you must shower within 4 hours, run cold water at the end of the shower to close your pores.
Spray tans should always be the last beauty treatment completed, and Spa treatment products can create barriers that will leave your tan streaking. Please wash off any soaps, lotions or oils before your appointment.
All of the above will create a barrier on the skin that the spray tan will not adhere to. If you have any of these products on, use a Micellar Wipe to remove them.
It is best to wear loose sweats & a sweatshirt. Any tight clothing worn after your spray can cause you wanted lines. Please be aware that the bronzer in the solution may transfer to your clothing or bedding l, but it is water-soluble and should wash out.
You must try your hardest not to get wet or sweat until your initial rinse.
If you get wet or your pet licks you, take a fluffy makeup brush blend out the solution using circular motions. Once you have rinsed, it will even out.
It is completely normal for most of the bronzer to wash away when you wash initially.
All spray tans will take 24 hours to develop FULLY. It is important not to apply any products to the skin before for maximum results of the tan. It is best to use CLEAN products while showering & moisturizing. Please use products free of artificial fragrances or mineral oil, which will strip your tan very quickly.
No showering, working out, lotions, liquid foundations on the skin. If you have pets, do not let them lick you.
Try to refrain from touching your skin. As your tan is developing, it could result in orange palms if you touch yourself. If this happens, please reach out; I have a product that can easily remove it.
Rinse with water ONLY! Pat dry, do not rub. You will not see much visible color after your initial rinse and should wait 24 hours to moisturize.

Your tan could develop too light or too dark if you don’t rinse at your designated time. If you see streaks after getting out of the shower, hop back in and use your hand to help rinse the remaining bronzer off.
Lotion, lotion, lotion! The more hydrated your skin stays, the longer your spray tan will last. Use a moisturizer that is free of mineral oil & artificial fragrances… think CLEAN! It is important to note, if you use any acne or retinol products, your face could become blotchy. After the third day, you may use a tan extender lotion that contains DHA.
If you want your tan to last longer, please refrain from these activities.
During your showers, I recommend no loofahs or wash rags. It is best to rinse with hands only in areas where you prefer a long-lasting tan.
